Could somebody point me to were I could read this Nov 95' WT? As mentioned before, I left in October 1995, but can't remember if I read this Nov 95' "generaton" change article prior to leaving. I know that after I left I never read anymore JW literature.

I agree that since Castro's mother is a JW, that she has probably been a JW for a very long time, and that he probably had exposure to the Watchtower religion as a young boy. If true, no doubt the beginning of a messed up life. Will be interesting to see what comes to light here.

lately i've been through some very depressing family issues that are non-jw related so i haven't been my best at acting like i care about the org.

I told him that recently there had been some problems but that they were PERSONAL and no one needed to know about them. Then he insisted on asking what they were, after telling him that they were personal. So I just said "it's my business. NOT yours. And that's the way it will stay." Then he paused. Raised his right eyebrow and then said, "but I've been noticing that there's something about you, not just recently. This has been going on for a long time now. And, brother, as bad as it may seem to you, as an elder appointed by Holy Spirit it is my business!"
In this asshole elder's mind.......personal problem = secret sin. The Jehovah Witness religion is a cult, and the longer I am out the more frustrating it is to see that people still in the religion can't see it. This elder will probably stir up shit against you with the others. If he tries it again, give him the talk that you are a grown man with a family, and he is not to disrespect you when you want to keep your peronal business to yourself. Then tell him that he is not to think about what you just told him, but to only obey what you just told him. Good luck.

i can't say the whole story right now because of time...but i have a copy of a wt saying how "jehovah will not let false prophecy's come true..." from the may 1st 97 wt.. i don't have a wt library so i can't look up the info.
i know there are wt articles saying the end was coming in 1975 and also certain times from like the 20's.

I left in October 1995. (not sure when the "generation change" WT came out) I left mainly because, by this time in my JW experience it became apparent to me that with all the Governing Body worship that had started, all the peculiar people & disfunctional families in the JW religion, how JW's acted & treated people, along with all the kooky JW rules & beliefs.....that there was no way this JW religion could be God's only true religion on earth.
The 1995 changing of the "generation" teaching only confirmed that the whole JW belief system was changed. It changed all the Watchtower BS about 1914 starting the end times, the choosing of the WTS as God's Channel, the anointed numbers dwindling down, all the Watchtower's false prophesies about how urgent preaching their version of the truth was, and how Armageddon would come before that 1914 generation died off.
Now, the Watchtower Society has proved to be nothing more than a bat-shit crazy cult.
